"This whole taxi company (TAXICODE) is a scam. We booked because we tried to book Royston Taxis and were just not able to cancel. DO NOT BOOK. Driver did not show up on time and got lost of the way, doing a 30 min detour in a 15 min ride. On the way back he arrived 45 after the agreed time and they already took a different taxi. "
"Journey was easy to book but things went wrong from there. I never received a text confirmation despite paying £1.50 for this service which would have been expensive even if the service was provided.
I called and emailed ahead of the journey date to request full confirmation of the booking as I was told on booking this would be received along with an allocated driver at least 24 hours before pick up. This was never received. Calls, voicemails and emails were unanswered.
On the day, the driver emailed bluntly to say they would be 20 minutes late. When called they said this was due to traffic. There was not an unexpected amount of traffic around and this should have been factored in for a prebooked pick up time. There was never any apology given for the lateness. We ended up arriving at the wedding reception we were going to late, having missed the entrance of the bride and groom which was very disappointing. "
